May 2 – 6 | Redlands Bicycle Classic

The Redlands Bicycle Classic is the longest continuous running invitational, professional stage race in American bike racing. Each year, the City of Redlands and surrounding communities open their homes, their hearts and their streets to world-class athletes. From humble beginnings on a Memorial Day weekend in 1985, the event, featuring 350 elite racers, has hosted future stars of the Olympics, Tour de France, and World Championships. The Redlands Bicycle Classic’s long heritage of attracting future stars has earned its position in history: “Where Legends Are Born!”

May 4 – 6 | Yucaipa Music and Arts Festival

Yucaipa’s Music and Arts Festival is coming up! Come up to Yucaipa to explore the festival anytime over the three days, with seven live bands and 100 artists, beer garden, kids zone, gem and mineral show, flower show, and more fun!

May 5 | Spring Garden Tour- RUHS

RUHS Foundation’s Spring Garden Tour features five beautiful and unique private Riverside gardens. This special event supports RUHS’s response to children who have been abused and neglected. RUHS is dedicated to providing extraordinary care to heal the physical and emotional needs of our region’s kids.
Now in its 22nd year, this tour has become an event favorite for local gardening enthusiasts. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in one of the featured gardens. UC Master Gardeners will be available in each garden to guide and inform you.

May 5 | Heritage Day

Celebrating the 167th anniversary of the arrival of the Mormon and Black Pioneers in June of 1851, who built the prosperous San Bernardino Colony. It is also honoring other valley settlers including the Native Americans, Spanish Rancho families, Jewish pioneers, and Polynesians who helped contribute to the True Spirit of Community the pioneers established. Wagon rides for everyone! Rope making, doll making, quilting, gold panning, pioneer games & toys, Dutch oven cooking, pioneer music and dancing. Multi-cultural displays & presentations for everyone.

May 5 & 6 | 111th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade and Fiesta

The 111th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade and Fiesta is a free two day celebration that consists of entertainment, food and info vendors, game booths, live Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico performances.

An evening of French masterpieces brings our season to a spellbinding finale. After the mischief of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and The Swan’s tragic elegance, we conclude with the musical fireworks of Saint-Saëns’ majestic “Organ” Symphony, featuring the farewell performance of our dear friend Frederick Swann.

May 20 | 25th Annual Ice Cream Social

Free ice cream, lemonade, kids crafts,entertainment.Learn how Riverside lived and celebrated in the 1890’s.

Riverside Metropolitan Museum’s Heritage House invites you to enjoy a special afternoon at its 25th Annual Ice Cream Social. This is not your ordinary Ice Cream Social! All ages will enjoy this free community event, which features ice cream, lemonade, and musical entertainment as one may have celebrated in Victorian Riverside during the 1890s.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the house, play authentic Victorian games, and watch a special patriotic program by the Sons of the American Revolution that will include: musket firing, cotillion dance, and a parade through the grounds. Musical entertainment will include a dulcimer, piano, vocal performances, and of course, a barbershop quartet! Event is free!

Every Thursday | Redlands Market Night

Established in 1988, Redlands Market Night has established itself as one of the most successful certified farmers markets in Southern California! Vendors vie to participate in the event that has attracted thousands of weekly visitors since its inception. Visitors are welcomed into an inviting atmosphere complete with lighted trees, brick sidewalks, historic buildings, and great musical entertainment. Crowds are pleasantly surrounded by over 150 food and merchandise booths, not to mention the downtown shopkeepers, every Thursday night.
