Dec 1 | “A Citrus Heritage Christmas” – Redlands Christmas Parade

The Redlands Christmas Parade is coming to town! The parade will start at 6:00 p.m on December 1 with more than a dozen marching bands, scores of brilliantly lit floats, and hundreds of participants.

Nov 30 – Dec 3 | 71st Feast of Lights

The University of Redlands will present the 71st Feast of Lights, a service of worship celebrating, in spoken word, tableaux, song and instrumental offering, the birth of Jesus. Although presentations have differed slightly from year to year, the basic theme has remained constant: the story of the birth of Christ and the symbolic message of the star of Bethlehem as it led the Wise Men to the stable. At the service’s conclusion, the traditional Ceremony of Candles, adapted from an ancient rite, symbolizes the spreading of the light of Christ’s message by the twelve apostles throughout the world.

Dec 1 | 26th Annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade

The annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade held in downtown Palm Springs features lighted floats, equestrians, bands, autos, and celebrities. This event has consistently been rated as one of the best local events in the Coachella Valley, and one of the top 10 holiday parade events in the country.

Dec 2 | Christmas Tree Lighting

The 2018 Christmas Tree lighting will take place on Sunday December 2nd at 6:00 p.m.  Local Choirs will perform, there will be cider and ginger cookies and there will be opportunities for photos with Santa. The interior of the home is decorated for the holidays and immediately following the Tree Lighting, tours of the first floor of the house will be offered for $5.00 per person. This event is hosted at no cost and reservations are not needed. Parking will be on Highland Avenue, please bring a flashlight and your holiday cheer.

Yucaipa’s Winterfest happens December 8, in Historic Uptown Yucaipa. The Winterfest will have a kids zone, snow to play in, tree lighting, and more.

This festive event is centered around Highland Springs Ranch and Inn’s Organic Galleries, offering  handmade gifts from their farm, seasonal workshops, afternoon tea, outdoor s’mores on an open fire, sweets and holiday drinks. The Grand Oak Bistro will re-open with a special menu for this event.

Dec | Christmas at Greenspot Farms

If you noticed my video on Greenspot Farms’ pumpkin patch, then you know that they’re a family-centered, fun-filled farm for the kids. Of course, they’re open for the Christmas season, as well!

Their farm is fully decorated for the Christmas season — you can pick your own tree for cutting, or pick an already cut one. They also have an annual Christmas hayride (there’s a fee for the hayride), free movie nights and s’mores for a small charge. There is NO ADMISSION FEE to come and enjoy Greenspot Farms.

Dec | Mission Inn Festival of Lights

Mission Inn’s 26th Annual Festival of Lights celebration is a free, six-week-long holiday extravaganza featuring one of the nation’s largest holiday light collections of its kind. You shouldn’t miss it — they were nominated for “Best Public Lights Display” in USA Today’s 10 Best!

Highlights of Festival of Lights include 200 animated figures including angels, elves and Dickens carolers; appearances by Santa Claus, the world’s largest man-made mistletoe, horse-drawn carriage rides, elf tuck-ins, freshly fallen snow, elaborately decorated Christmas trees; and delectable holiday confections at the famous Casey’s Cupcakes, among other festive offerings.

Every Thursday | Redlands Market Night

Established in 1988, Redlands Market Night has established itself as one of the most successful certified farmers markets in Southern California! Vendors vie to participate in the event that has attracted thousands of weekly visitors since its inception. Visitors are welcomed into an inviting atmosphere complete with lighted trees, brick sidewalks, historic buildings, and great musical entertainment. Crowds are pleasantly surrounded by over 150 food and merchandise booths, not to mention the downtown shopkeepers, every Thursday night.
